Scaning MCL faculty, instructors, and staff can have both text and images scanned by MLC staff. The request can usually be completed within 24-48 hours after recieving the documents.
Printing Black and white laser printing is available in the main lab. Color printing and color overhead transparencies are available in the authoring room for faculty and staff.
How To
 
Scan Text

1. Lift the scanner lid and place your text to be scanned face down. Try to align it as straight as possible on the glass nearest to the corner with the red arrow (upper right-hand corner).

2. On the Macintosh desktop, under web design on top bar) click on the Omnipage icon.

3. Go to text on the menu bar and select scan.

4. The scanner should take about a minute or so to capture the text. When done , you will see the text that Omnipage has successfully deciphered in an untitled file.

Print

1. To print a file in black and white bring it to the main lab on a floppy or zip disk.

2. Choose an iMac with the appropriate disk driver and insert your disk. An image of your disk should appear on the computers desktop.

3. Click on the disk image and find the file you wish to print and click on it to open the file. The iMac will open it will the most appropriate program.

4. Then, under File click print.

5. Your file will print out in the check in office. There is a 10 cents per page charge for student printing.
